You really don't get the cognitive dissonance? Fred was being praised for his "Presidential" demeanor WHILE ACTING IN A ROLE! IT WASN'T GENUINE! IT WAS REALLY ACTING! Yet you accuse Romney of not appearing "genuine" enough, or looking too polished to be believed, or something?
What you are saying is that you think Fred fakes sincerity better than you think Mitt does. The whole "looks" thing is so stupidly petty when deciding whom our Presidential nominee should be, it's laughable. Yet, here it is, being used as attack points against two different candidates, as if it amounted to a real qualification. Lord save our Republic from the shallow.

The difference is Fred is an actor. When Fred speaks he as a politician he is genuine. Romney is an actor when he is running for office. Romney can be a liberal’s liberal one election and a staunch conservative the next.
