You never get to that point at which nobody ever dies. There will be training accidents and the perils of dealing with lethal machinery. In certain cultures, in certain parts of the world, there is a tradition of killing off everybody who doesn’t agree with you — or worship the same god.

Then there are the scores of people who just “go off.” In some cultures, that is even politically correct — to stone your wife if she looks at another man. So if one factors out the ambiance, there is remarkable peace in the world as a whole — with the notable exception of the Middle East.

On the plus side, the real heavy hitters are not at war with each other, or even is their major animosity or tension — and are more or less in agreement that somebody should do something about terrorism disrupting well-functioning societies — even if they’re “letting George do it all.” They, at least, are not going to get in his way. They have no fondness for terrorists in Beijing, New Delhi, or even Paris.

76% of the people will say anything is going “badly,” if you just pester them enough. Compared to what — the Holocaust or Utopia? 76% don’t even like their programming. What’s news?

Of course not. But our people are dying at the same rate that they were when the war was in its 'hot' period. And the 'lethal machinery' that is killing our troops is in the hands of the enemy.

All I'm saying is that if we're going to win like WWII, then we need to fight like WWII. If we're going to fight like Vietnam, then we need to cut our losses early. Especially since the enemy wants to finish the job for us in this case. All of the Muslim world needs to be depopulated, if we can't do it, then we need to make sure they do it for us, like in Lebanon or Gaza.
