Fried chicken, potato salad, light rolls, string beans fresh from the garden-fried okra-sweet potatoes/slow baked-red eye gravy-nanner pudding-corn on the cob with plenty of butter-fresh tomatoes-country ham-oysters-shrimp-baked flounder with potatoes and bacon and onions-fried cornbread-MY SPOONBREAD.

You forgot the old southern staple, pinto beans and cornbread with a slice of raw onion and fried taters.

Oh my, makes me sooo hungry. I cook all that good stuff, too. I put okra in everything from soups to roasts to rice and often fry it. Don’t forget chicken & dumplins’, pork neckbones and rice, ham hocks and fresh green beans, sawmill gravy and cheese grits.
