Why is this all the government’s fault, Steve? Let’s not blame government for all our ills - that’s a leftist fallback. Whatever happened to personal responsibility and the obligation of American employers to follow the law and stop creating their share of the problem?

Because it is their fault...Its their responsibility and they should be held accountable for their failure...

And my saying so is not what you like to classify as a leftist fallback...And I resent you implying that!

They are not doing their job, and they are farting around, at our expense, once again with this reform deal in the senate...

As much as I would love to be able to personally implement a “local/state” initiative to enforce our border and immigrations laws we already have...That very same federal government who’s charter it is to do this, condemn local and state entities from doing so...

The federal judge down here struck down the ordinance voted on by the “people” of Farmers Branch, Texas from enforcing their own ordinances which would have made their area un-hospitable to ILLEGAL aliens in that area, proves the point...They weren’t rounding them up and bussing them off to some “holding area” for the government to get off their duffs and take care of it from there...All they did was make it difficult for illegals to stay...

I don’t see anything wrong with that...

But if your blinders only see the issue being controlled by “American Employers”...I suggest a little more study on this issue to see that it is has a bit wider scope than that...Sure they do their part, either supporting illegality, or actively fighting and policing it themselves within their industry...

But I suppose you might fall into the camp that says:

“Well, there is just too many of them to deport...We need to find a way to excuse their presense, and treat them humainly by giving them a path to citizenship...”

Sounds to me if the effort were to be made to police up the illegals (ALL OF THEM) and send them home...That looks like job security for anyone up to the task...No matter how long it takes...And the cost could be covered by narrowing any debt we owe those countries...

Seems fairly easy to me...But then again Government has an effinity for making things difficult, when they don’t really want to do something...Kinda like a child does from time to time...
