What we need is all new Congressmorons, with very few exceptions. Congress doesn’t represent American taxpayers or the military volunteers risking life and limb to protect the rest of us.
I think you are overstating the case a bit, but I am not up to defending Bush. Let him defend himself, in Spanish if necessary.
It is common courtesy to caption what you are responding to. Maybe you should try it.
Sorry, won’t bother you again.
I don't believe the NYT view of Iraq...but I do believe that Bush has committed serious mistakes in dealing with the war there and that it may be too late to correct the damage done. I cannot fathom that in the face of the experience of Islamofacism prior to Iraq (i.e. the intifada, Lebanon, Somalia, 9/11, etc.) the administration did not consider suicide, IEDs, and a civil Sunni/Shitte conflict. Why Bush let Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Bremmer and, yes, Cheney talk him into limited warfare is beyond comprehension and, to this day, I really believe that some of those characters should have been chastised to the fullest extent of public humiliation perhaps even including jail time for gross misconduct.
I want to see the numbers of those in congress who have supported this shamnesty. What about McCain? What a moron.
There is not one single thinking person in this country that would stop supporting Republicans thinking Democrats will do a better job. Only a moron believes that.
Iran just expelled 70,000 Afghanistans and expect to deport 1,000,000.
Now I don’t know what percentage of the total Iran population that is, but it must be more than the 12-20 illegals here represent.
Iran can must the resources and will but the US cannot?
>>You better be armed and stay aware of your surroundings at all times. Those Mexican drug wars will be right here.<<
And if you have to defend your own house, Bush crony Johnny Sutton will put you in prison for violating their civil rights. The Dems are worse. It’s way past time to put better people in Washington.
And you think most voters aren't morons?
But voting for Democrats wasn't what I was referring to. There are other options. And new options can be created. How do you think the Republican Party came into existence? It didn't exist in 1800.
I don't like this any more than anyone else but I have to stick to voting Republican. Even if we want to have another political party, it's going to have to be made up of the same people. The only new people we're getting are illegal Mexicans and they're not going to join a new conservative party. Changing the name on the same group of people is not going to change a thing except the name to make some people feel better.
Good cartoon. What it doesn’t show is Bush pushing the elephant down in that brown stuff, and getting pulled in himself.
Yes, build the wall, yes
Like one Freeper in here suggested maybe Bush has gone off the wagon in his drinking again. I’ve heard this speculated in here a couple of times.
Yes build a real wall. Not this 700 mile crap. What good does that do? Seriously, who are we kidding here?
There is 2000 miles of open border from Cali to Texas, and we are supposed to be satisfied with a wall that only covers 30%?!!?!?!!?!
Your position is why Republican politicians feel they can act the way they do. Why they feel they can sell conservatives down the river repeatedly and we’ll still pull the lever for them.
In short, we’re in this mess because of this calculation.
There are those who claim many conservatives stayed home this last election. I don't know if that can be proven but that is the claim.
We had Democrats take over both the Iowa House, Senate and governorship.
They increased state spending by more than 10%, removed a ban on human cloning, raised the cigarette tax by $1.00 a pack and were stupid enough to budget on the phony projections which have not materialized, made same-day voting registration legal, voted to give special protections to gays, lesbians, etc, implemented more socialistic programs, preschool for all four year olds and increased the minimum wage. These are just the issues I can think of off the top of my head.
That's not bad enough for you? I know of a local radio host who thinks he's morally superior to everyone else who claims he didn't vote for the Republican for governor because he isn't good enough for him.
I can absolutely guarantee you that if Republicans had just one house or the governorship, this would not have happened.
All of a sudden, even a few RINOs would have made a difference.
Oh, another thing they're working on is gutting Iowa's Right to Work law. Still think sitting it out is worth it? I don't.
That’s about how kindly I feel towards him right now.
