I agree with Rush.

If Bush signs anything into law even remotely resembling S.1348, the GOP is toast. Most of the the conservative base has already departed, and those few remaining will view that event as proof positive there is no longer a GOP which shares conservative values. Quite the opposite. I suggest they keep right on pandering to the illegal alien invaders because they are going to need them to replace the conservative base. Of course, the pandering won't work because the latinos will all be crowding into Rat Central (DNC) to register.

The vast majority of people cast their presidential votes because of vague emotional feelings towards the candidate, not because of specific bills.
