An excellent, succinct commentary by Mr. Darling.
“Senseless giveaway” and “sellout” describe it exactly.
Call all Republican senators, and all Republican congressmen you can think of — ASAP.

Our political “leaders” started the selling process years ago, driven by the globalization movement, but no one seems to recognize that fact. We truly are a slow-witted and gullible people.

I called Kyl’s office this morning right after the news broke. His voice mail was full so, I presume he got a lot of calls.
I will also be sending out emails this evening.
I may not be able to stop them from they betrayal vote but living in Arizona, I can work to defeat both Kyl and McCain.

Hugh Hewitt is a moderate on immigration. He said yesterday and just said as his show started “this is a disaster”. If he thinks it’s a disaster—it must really be bad. He’s talking with Mark Steyn about it right now for their regular Thursday chat:

As of this minute, I dont have the words to express how outraged I am. I will have to cool down before calling the schmucks in DC that have turned us into the US of Mexico. Im sick and tired of walking into stores and seeing signs in English and Spanish; Im sick and tired of dialing some asinine company and being asked if I want the message in English or Spanish; Im sick and tired of seeing Mass Transit buses go by with advertising on the side in Spanish. I live in the United States of America; not Mexico! I urge everyone that is as pissed as I am to call your elected moron and have your friends and neighbors call. If these morons arent sent home, none of us will have a dime to our name and no freedoms and no rights. After were done calling, then we unite to empty the Congress of all these self-serving, power-grabbing schmucks. Send the DC Royalty home; their party is over.Well said! Ready for a revolution? I am!

Bush was paid off by Vincente Fox when he took office to look the other way and let the flow continue so U.S. funds can be sent back to the illegals families. Mexico’s economy is shit.
What did Bush get back as a thanks? No help in Iraq and very little in the war on terror.

I suspect that he sees the North American Union as his legacy. I can't for the life of me think of any other reason that he would be so bulldog tenacious on this issue. What, W worry about a legacy? Didn't he buy some nice digs in Guatamala, the Southern part of the NAU? He doesn't care what happens to those he duped.

Lou Dobbs is on now incredulous that this bill is going through the Democratic Senate.
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Hugh Hewitt said that not one Republican Senator would come on with him today. Mark Steyn said he is a legal immigrant—if he had to do it over again, he wouldn’t make that same mistake.

That picture on Malkin’s site is worth a thousand words. Kennedy has called Bush a war criminal, called for his impeachment, and has trashed every single thing he has done with the exception of No Child Left Behind....and the Immigration Reform Act of 2007.
There must be so much dirt the Dems have on Bush for him to sell his soul like he has done...especially with Kennedy.

Good. I'm far less concerned about giving amnesty to those already here than to giving them a pathway to citizenship. I understand your thinking. But there are, perhaps, two things you haven't thought about.
1. Whether they pursue th so-called "pathway to citizenship" is totally up to the illegal alien. The "pathway" is there -- they don't have to follow it, but many of them will. Thus, we open the door to a proven lawbreaker.
2. Those who don't choose the "pathway" are free to stay here as long as they want, along with their immediate families and children. Thereby, we will have imported a large permanent underclass -- with all the financial burdens on society that would entail. Moreover, we will have created a flammable source of civil unrest, with tens of millions of completely unassimilated people. We know how well this plan has worked in France, Germany, etc.
Let the politicians call it what they will, but this is a disastrous bill -- driven by truly venal motives.

President Bush just doesn’t care. He will never be affected by what he is doing. He won’t be affected by the increased crime. He won’t have to see his kids go to overcrowded, rotten schools.
