Actually, Coleman is independent — an independent liberal. He is not backing this because of GWB but because of himself and his “caring” and “reaching out” mentality. People of MN can’t figure it out.

No, Coleman is a Republican, in fact held a position at the Republican National Convention. Can’t recall if it was chairman or not.

People of MN can’t figure it out.

This one can, and he's frankly p**d off about it. When the alternative is Al Frankenstein, that's a real problem. I can only write so many letters to my Senator inviting him to act like the people who elected him expect him to act.
