This will become the NUMBER ONE issue in 2008. Which candidate will jump on it? By opposing amnesty and open borders we can attract union members, blue collar workers, and minorities over to our side if the issue is properly framed.

I think they are trying to push this through now so that it will be too late for any 2008 candidate to do anything about it.

Once amnesty is passed legislatively, how can we get it back? 2008 is too late. This is the legal ratification of the tipping point for the US. There will be no getting the genie back into the bottle and conservatives will be overwhelmingly outvoted in the future.

I have to ask which 'side' are you referring to? It seems both sides of the aisle in Washington are jumping on board for this. In my opinion we do not have a side anymore.

Tancredo and Hunter are the only two who speak clearly on it. Look for a move to futher marginalize them and exclude them from debates starting soon.

This will become the NUMBER ONE issue in 2008. Not to worry, the GOP has it all planned out. They'll be just enough votes to ram it through but still allow Brownback and McCain to vote no. Then they can say they were vehemently opposed to this travesty but it's time to move on and give the new bill a chance, that is until the next wave of illegals needs amnesty.

Honestly, I dont want amnesty in any form. I say round up each and every illegal we can, throw their criminal arses out of the country along with their offspring then seal the borders tight as a drum allowing only those that have followed the book of Hoyle in the application process to enter our country, and then, only after being approved.
Next
Create an agency responsible for keeping tabs on those visitors here legally making it mandatory for those carrying visas to have to check in at the new department once a week. If the visitors do not comply we deport them while making it illegal under any circumstance for those deported to ever reenter our country for any reason and punishable by a manditory15 years in prison if they are ever caught in our country after being deported.
Zero tolerance.
As for what the union members think... I could care less. If it werent for the unions greed we wouldnt be in the predicament we are in. Unions are nothing more than little sects of communists each trying to be the tail that wags the dog. I say make unions illegal and get rid of the welfare system in this country. Once those two things are accomplished we will have more than enough workers to harvest our crops. We wont need illegal aliens to do the work.
Who knows. We may even help the overall health of our nation's populace once we stop supporting their lazy arses and they have to go to work.
Imagine all the benefits.
Aaaaaah... but sound reasoning isnt common now-a-day is it?
