Do you really think someone who did 4 years undergrad, four years of med school and two years of residency would throw that all away to perform a $50 dollar abortion in a corner store knowing that he could get arrested at any moment?

The “back alley” practitioners are rarely med school graduates (and often not even college graduates), though a few are graduates of foreign medical schools who can’t qualify for a US medical license, and a few are US-trained MDs who’ve lost their medical licenses for some sort of misdeeds in their previous practice.
