Okay..

The word and thought police have spoken.

Who are these “others” you speak of? The offended? I don’t know of that organization but they seem to have everybody in their crosshairs lately.

These guys are compensated to be outrageous and line crossers.. And people are amazed that they are outrageous on the air?

I am surprised XM did anything. XM knew what they were doing when they brought them in to XM.. And they advertise the show on the other channels I listen too quite a bit..

Offensive or not, it’s on pay radio.. Turn the channel if it offends...

Turn it to one of the religious channels. But wait, that could offend the godless...

Where does this silliness of suspensions and terminations end?

"Where does this silliness of suspensions and terminations end?"

When they succeed in taking Rush Limbaugh off the air.

Exactly. And the company that compensates them decided their actions were detrimental to the company's continuing to have money to compensate its employees.

So the company made a business decision.

XM aren't "thought police." They're Opie & Anthony's employers. Opie and Anthony have a perfect right, if they so choose, to find another outlet for them to make rape jokes.

I’m with you 100%; I’m cool with very edgy comedy, and people who are not should find something else to listen to. XM is not regular radio; XM are corporate cowards for suspending them. I hope Opie and Anthony pull more listeners in the end. They were hired to do very controversial comedy, and are pretty good at it. I expect the self-righteousness from the left, not the right.

Those two morons combined couldn’t muster up the intellect that Condi lets loose when she farts in the morning. Yes, they get paid to push the envelope but there has to be a line somewhere for a business owner. We both know that they took some heat for dumb and dumber’s antics and I am glad that they did. No one threw them in jail or took them out back and whipped them for what they did but they were certainly put on notice that their post adolescent behavior went too far.

You are 100% correct.

I just canceled 3 subscriptions. Did I like the comments of their guest? No, I did not. But, as repugnant as they were, I find censorship worse. I will not pay for it.

You don’t get it.

Rape is not a joke.
