I can understand the concern here and I do not like it, but be realistic. He was a fool for leaving everything in her name while he was gone. If it were me I would have put it into a trust or written a POA document that required two individuals one being a neutral party or better yet appoint two neutrals. That would end this kind of stuff. She is a dirt bag but even dirt bags can be controlled

Well the article seems to say that he didn't leave assets in her name. It seems to say she had to forge his signature to get access to IRA funds, and falsely claim he was disabled in order to activate a power of attorney and sell their home.

I know I scored badly on the English portion of my SAT, but I don’t see in the story where the soldier left everything in her name while he was gone.

If everything was in her name, she wouldn’t of needed to have a false Power of Attorney to sell the house.
