Thank you for the quotes. What I read here corroborates what I’ve understood about Fred Thompson, which in turn recommends others of the candidates for support, at this time. Romney, Hunter and Tancredo come across as more conservative in their positions and emphases. Potentially, Brownback and Huckabee, too. And Romney is much, much more dynamic and charismatic.

And yes, Romney was "strongly" pro-abortion at one time. Saul of Tarsus was also strongly anti-Christian and John Newton was committedly pro-slavery. Ronald Reagan was also pro-abortion.

I'm more interested in the impact a candidate can have in the present and future, than a history of casual support. I'm also interested in a candidate that's "there" instead of one who seems to have been wheeled in by others, on a two-wheeled dolly, thanks.
