I do business in, and travel to

Malaysia
Indonesia
Thailand
China
India

There IS no free trade
There IS no fair trade

There is only trade, and I am trying to do my part to advantage America. Most Americans don’t have a clue as to how trade works. It s not their fault, as you have to be there to understand reality.

” Most Americans don’t have a clue as to how trade works.”

Yep. Their knowledge doesn’t extend much past their iPod.

Amen, bro, amen. Folks hear the phrase "Free Trade" but most nations out there charge customs duties that make a payday loan pawnshop look like a bargain. Years ago I went with somebody to Taiwan and watched this person get hit with a 120% duty on clothing. You bring in a $10 pair of pants? Pay $12 in customs for the $10 pants.

For the most part, "Free Trade" means that nations like China tell us "We want to sell our stuff in the USA for free." And that's where the "Free" ends. It's always lopsided, and it's always to our disadvantage.
