Apparently I mis-read the information that I previously referenced.
I am still very skeptical of such a change - basically because of the point I already stated that the ruling oligarchy is not going to change unless they have figured out how to squeeze more out of the middle.
Having said that, this "Fair Tax" seems worthy of a more in-depth investigation than I have previously afforded it.
