Kathleen Parker wrote this column - you need to have that there on the masthead.

I’m not necessarily putting her down, although in this case her conclusion lacks any emphasis.

“But, there’s just something about Mitt. He’s beyond just right. He’s TOO RIGHT — too good-looking, too rich, too successful.”

Mitt Romney TOO RIGHT???? I hope they don’t mean he is politically too right...

If the GOP in question is the big-government, Commerce Clause corrupting, CPB-enabling GOP we just voted out of office, then I sure hope Fred won’t fill that vacuum.

``Even if we won't be going around in the woods trying to find any bears to kill, sometimes the bear visits whether you're looking for him or not,'' he said.

An oblique hint from Fred to invoke Reagan's terrific 'Bear in the Woods' ad!

Jeez. It’s not that I can’t get behind one the nominees already running. I just think Fred fits the bill completely for me. I’d back him and I’d donate. The others, ehh, I’ll vote for one of them, but sorry no cash from me.

From listening to rats, I can say that they’re not happy with their vacuum choices either.

Let’s not go overboard and conclude that we’re the only group wandering in the wilderness.

Not all possible candidates have entered the fray yet. Ralph Nadar, I believe, is sitting on the sidelines waiting for signals to enter. Every FReeper can send Ralph a buck or two, right?

Where Fred is like Reagan is that he has very fleshed out views and positions that he has written, spoken and given radio addresses about.

Like Reagan it sounds like he doesn’t need to consult ANYBODY about how he feels on any subject, his voice is melodic and soothing like Reagan’s too.

He actually seems to care about his positions intellectually and isn’t looking for a winning formula of positions to win the nomination.

Nothing against Fred - he’s a good guy.

But it’s way past time we get off of our collective asses!

It’s time we stop waiting for something to happen!

It’s time to make something happen!

Let’s get busy folks!

George Soros is!

And by the way....

Come on Fred! S#!t or get off the pot!

At the Cable show today week, they let slip that Law and Order was canceled after this season, likely be turned out to the backwoods of TNT or some such.

Nothing is likely to happen until the end of May sweeps, contracts and all, and the season closer advertising would be at risk.

Standby ... Run Fred Run

Would Fred Thompson make a good president?

Does a bear sh*t in the woods?

Does Rose Kennedy own a black dress?

Does the Trojan horse have a wooden d*ck?

“Vacuum in the GOP”

Let’s see, the Democrats “front runners” are a former first lady who lies reflexively, but in reality has positions to the left of Marx himself, and the sacrificial rookie, acceptable as a challenger because he’s black, but doesnt seem black, so when she beats him nobody can complain?

The GOP may have a vacuum but the Dems definitely suck.
