Sorry, m'friend, but you've misplaced the decimal point by two places. He's off by 83,233.33%. If he had said 24 died, he'd have been off by 100%, if 36, 200%, and so forth.

An error of this size concerning a well-covered news story, almost 3 full orders of magnitude, is simply inexcusable.
