The Newsroom at CBS 13 in Sacramento, CA is monitoring the Rush Limbaugh show today. They may be somewhat concerned.

CBS, as you recall, is the network that promoted phony National Guard documents to try to influence a presidential election.

I just spoke to the newsdesk in Sacramento. They are aware that Limbaugh has been talking about them today and giving warnings that they had better remove a video about "Barack the Magic Negro" that someone put on YouTube. Limbaugh had nothing to do with the production.

CBS 13 has a poll underway asking if Limbaugh's parody is racist. They did a 2-part series about it and are trying to cause some controversy.

The woman at the newsdesk has been informed that the term "Barack the Magic Negro" did not originate with Limbaugh. It originated with the leftist Los Angeles Times. According to her, they are "taking everything into consideration and dealing with the Limbaugh 'Magic Negro' situation."

The press is often allowed to get away with this nonsense because some people are powerless to stop it. They took on the wrong guy this time.

I listen to Rush frequently and have heard “Barack the Magic Negro” and think it is hilarious! The left were able to take Imus down because he is one of them and responded just as they wanted him to. It won’t work on Rush or any of the hosts on the right.

I care not one bit about Imus, never listen to him and think he is an idiot. If he were to leave for any REGULAR reason, I would never miss him. As it is, however, I am angry that he was railroaded on what is a 1st amendment issue. I could care LESS that he called the basketball players “nappy headed hos”- So what? SO WHAT? The only pathetic part in all this is the whining from those who believe ANYONE is defined by what a jerk like Imus says about them.

There is no such thing as “hate speech”- there is only speech the LEFT doesn’t like or agree with.

The author of the article in the LA Times is on the radio now being interviewed.

Says that “Magic Negro” is someone who comes out of nowhere to help white people. E.g. Morgan Freeman coming to rescue of Ashley Judd, etc. Someone who is nonthreatening. Creation of this character is opposite of stereotype that blacks are slow or sexual. Someone who is a benign figure.

Now interviewer asks the author what he thinks of the parody, Barack the magic negro. Says that Rush is bating people. Rush wants to bring it up to the edge — daring people to object.

Author of LA Times article answers. Says he supports some of what Obama says but doesn’t know if Obama will go far enough.
