—I think this was very true prior to 9/11, when it seemed unlikely that enlistees would be in a deadly war zone.—
That is an ignorant, ill informed statement. Why don’t you do some research? Recruiting standards have been high for years — since Reagan!!!
Semantics -- actually careful wording -- are important. They give fuel (pardon the pun) to the conspiracy theorists who look up the burning temperatures and melting points and say "that's not possible." Careful wording takes away their ability to make that claim.
What does melt mean exactly?
To turn to liquid. We have other words to describe stages before the melting point, such as soften.
I am so sick and tired of some people trying be the smartest ones in the room.
The concept only requires that one be smarter than a fifth grader. OTOH, if everyone was then there wouldn't be any reason for the that quiz show. :)
How many Marines are smarter than Rosie? All of them!
A dog turd is smarter than Rosie.
Your qualifications are??
LOLOL!
And yours are??? Am I wrong?
I would like to personally invite Rosie to come to Al Taqaddum Iraq and speak to the military and see if she makes it out of here. I am tired of the filth that spews out of her mouth just because some jerk puts a microphone in front of her face, come talk to me face to face rosie out here in Iraq where men and women are giving there lives so you can sit there and run your suck!
the brown dragon I dropped in the sh!tter is smarter than Rosie, and better looking too.
