2/3 of 435 is 290. Plus, it would need 67 Senate votes.

Mr. President, if ever there was a right time to announce the capture or death of OBL, that time is now.

CORRECTION: This “SHOULD BE” a reality check to arrogant libs.
Unfortunately, Liberal Insanity is not easily swayed by insignificant things like the Constitution...

So the vote to over-ride got 4 more votes than the original surrender bill. I’d like to see the list and where those four extra votes came from.
To: Charles Henrickson
I’d hit it!!With a two by four!

Rep. Jerry Lewis, R-California, replied, Youve made your point. You had your dog-and-pony show. Youve posed for political holy pictures on TV. Now what is your plan to support the troops? Wow! They actuall reported on something a REPUBLICAN said!

Thanks for the list. I see the Nancy-boy Dem, Chet Edwards, who ran as a conservative last year in his TX district< which includes Ft. Hood and College Station, voted with his Queen again. That liar better not come back here with his dimples next election and say he supports the troops.
And I’ve noticed that Lampson, the faux-conservative Dem that is in Tom DeLay’s seat, hasn’t voted on any of these bills. That way he can claim that he didn’t support Queen Nancy and her merry band of cheese-eating surrender monkeys. That’s just being the coward he is, and I hope the good conservative voters around Sugar Land are paying attention.
To: stevio
How many votes are needed for an override? 292 votes in the House and 67 votes in the Senate.
