Here’s the scenario:

The Dems pull us out of Iraq;

The bad guys take 6 months to rearm and regroup and go after Israel and the Great Satan, US!

Thanks to Bush’s failure to close the borders, the bad guys come through in unprecedented numbers — with unprecedented destructive devices;

Several such devices go off in major American cities;

Once the panic subsides, wiser heads emerge from the population and point out that BOTH national parties are responsible for the disaster which kicks off one of Mr. Jefferson’s predicted revolutions and, once we have eliminated/deported the bad guys and the illegals, trials begin and guillotines are erected in Washington and elsewhere to deal with the convicted TRAITORS;

Rebuilding begins.

If things go south and we lose our Constitution and freedoms, we’d probably be better off for it to go all at once rather than have the Demopublicans — and their clients (think LakeShark!) — continue to piss it away in dribs and drabs as they have over the last 100 years.

Yours is a plausible scenario. What will emerge from the chaos will be a a very different America. Whether for better or worse, only time will tell.
