Lot of truth to that.

"The idea that somehow 10 interceptors and a few radars in Eastern Europe are going to threaten the Soviet strategic deterrent is purely ludicrous and everybody knows it," she told reporters before the NATO talks and a side meeting with Lavrov.

"Soviet"?

If you’re that keen on the Nazis, you must be delighted that Estonia has decided to remove the Bronze Soldier. Yet, if I recall correctly, you were jolly miffed of them for doing precisely that.

Strange...

You tottaly missed my point. War did happen and created her heros so th emonumenst should stand. But I regret that that war happened. Hitler could win the war if he went with help to Russians and fought ONLY Bolshevicks. But he fought Russians and alienated them.

Actually I was wondering where the russians would forward deploy forces. Being that they no longer possess or control the former soviet bloc states.

Russia is not a NATO member, so WTF are they even doing there?

Russia has a consultative arrangement with NATO under the Partnership for Peace program.

Do you remember that 1999 agreement between NATO, Serbia and Russia provided for return of Serbian authority in Kosovo (among other things)?

I don't. Got a link?

What is the sense of a treaty which is signed/ratified only by one side?

Only one side? The treaty was ratified by Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. You seem to think these are all one country. That's why people call you "Soviets." If it quacks like a duck...

OSLO, Norway - Simmering tension between the U.S. and Russia over European missile defense boiled over Thursday at a meeting of NATO diplomats after President Vladimir Putin threatened to freeze Russia's compliance with an arms control treaty.

Fine Putin ... let's do that ... and let's see who's the firstest with the mostest when the iron flies.

How do you say, “I didn’t mean to irritate you; give me a kiss,” in Russian?

if Hilter convinced Russian population that he came to free them from bolshevicks then he won that war. With Russians (not Stalin and Soviets!) on his side he would definetely won.

This is exactly what hitler attempted to do. The Russians responded with by killing their own and killing any of their conquered who refused to fight the nazis with them. Go back to your old war films, the nazis made numerous attempts to try and convince the Russians that they were their liberators and not conquerors. Ivan would have none of it and trained their commissars to murder any who refused to fight.

The stalinists were every bit as brutal and evil as the nazis. The only choice a Russian of that day had was whether to die by Russian bullets or German bullets.

Even if so, are you saying that this was a treaty between "Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus"?

You are perfectly capable to find it.

Russia clearly does not respect the sovereignty of those ex-soviet nations and has no intention of following Russia’s own laws and fulfilling their treaty commitments.

This is going to get harsher. Putty Put Putin is not our buddy, he's a communist, pure and simple. His job is to get Russia, and the rest of the old Soviet Union back together. Don't believe it, read the news.

Communists don't quit, even after defeat, they keep on going. When the Wall came down, after Yeltsin and the Soviet break up, I said to myself, "it is not over yet". If Ronald Regan would have been around now, he would have agreed with me.

This is another festering problem we have and a Democrat majority just gives the enemy more fire for their furnace. If we don't get some courage and stand up to the rest of the world we are bound in chains to live in slavery. And I won't do that.
