By the way...Jesus discriminated all the time. He enjoined his followers to show discrimination in many things. He did however, teach them on appropriate discrimination, both specific and contextual.

Ah, for the selective definition of words when reading scripture.

I cant even begin to understand how they can convince themselves that that passage can be interpreted to mean that. Im at a total loss.
Not that much of a stretch for someone with a warped, perverted mind. If two men were in the same house together, why surely they must be having sex. For the rest of us, it doesn't even give the least bit of hint of homosexual activity.

Based on the picture of the billboard it looks like Clear Channel owns it.

That verse has nothing whatsoever to do with homosexuality.

If they insist on trying to pervert what our Savior said and did, they're going to pay dearly or it---though not necessarily in this life.
Still waiting for the "Mohammed affirmed a gay couple" billboards.

No, I passed on that because I had read Brown’s resource materials about 25 years ago.

8The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
Or as paraphrased in the words of the Tridentine Mass right before communion:
"Domine, non sum dignus ut intres sub tectum meum, sed tantum dic verbo et sanabitur anima mea."
What healing your body of sickness, or your soul of evil has to do with "affirming gay couples" is beyond me. Seems contradictory.

You mean
Holy Blood, Holy Grail and its follow-ups?
A couple weeks back, I got this book:
It is an excellent debunking of the Rennes-le-Chateau myth, and quite an enjoyable read.

Yes sir, he sure did. Glad you brought that up.

I don’t remember exactly what I read, but it had to do with Jesus surviving the crucifixion, marrying, establishing a dynasty, etc. It drew from some old, old traditions. And of course, “The Passover Plot.” Nothing really new there either.
I guess I’ll have to get around to reading “The DaVinci Code” one of these days, and your recommendation looks interesting too.

I wonder how the Right Reverend Miner would spin the first 16 verses of The Letter of Jude?

I cant even begin to understand ...Mathew 8:5 In Greek (transliterated)-- "kai legon kurie o pais mou bebletai en te oikia paralutikos deinos basanizomenos" (and saying, Lord, my servant lies at home paralyzed and grieviously tormented)
(Vulgate: "et dicens Domine puer meus iacet in domo paralyticus et male torquetur")
"pais" (puer) is the word used for servant. It literally means "boy", "young man".
To the sexually deviant, such a reference could only mean "catamite" (catamitus), a boy kept by a pederast, and not the natural and obvious understanding "young male servant."
Apparently the Roman centurian could only have been a pederast. And the boy is paralized because his "daddy" got a little too rough. If that were the case, then Jesus would not have been praising the Roman for his "great faith", but sheer audacity to approach Him knowing how He felt about men lying with men (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:27)

It is an utter abomination. To see the image of Christ coupled with such perverted nonsense makes me physically ill.

He’s too busy out desecrating solidiers’ funerals.

It is an utter abomination. To see the image of Christ coupled with such perverted nonsense makes me physically ill. I'd say that as little as 10 years ago this country would have properly exhibited some outrage. Now, not so much. And still, liberals claim rights have been taken away and the Bush administration is oppresive. It's an upside-down world we live in now.
That said, if this happened in FL, there would be a much stronger reaction---especially by ME!!!
