This is the start of a series of threads that will be used to expose the truth about Rudy Giuliani in his own words and deeds.
Please post all of the quotes, speeches, interview transcripts, video clips, photos, newspaper/magazine articles, reports, records, statistics, NYC budgets, NYC spending, political appointments, gun grabs, connections to the gun control lobby, lawsuits against gun manufacturers, the truth about crime reduction in NYC, private property grabs, asset forfeitures, abuses of office, individual rights trampling, constitution trampling, violations of public trust, violations of the rule of law, national security risks, failures in security preparedness prior to and after 911, corruption, graft, bribes, favors, union dealings, mob dealings, business dealings leveraged through government contracts and contacts, rainmaking for his business partners, connections to US, Middle East or South American oil and energy companies and law firms that have profited and or will profit from Giuliani's government offices especially if he becomes president, war profiteering, his personal and business finances, his train wreck of a private life and lack of character, lack of qualifications for high office, illegal alien sanctuaries, welfare for illegals, pandering to illegals/illegal alien lobby, support for the abortion and gay rights lobbies, NARAL connections and participation, past and current support for McCain-Feingold, connections and dealings with liberal officeholders or the liberal/socialist caucuses/lobbies, etc, etc, etc, that you can find.
We're primarily interested in the words from his own mouth or primary source records and reports of his deeds/misdeeds. All submissions must contain true facts with documentation and links to source documentation and a link to FR thread on the individual item if available.
We do not need to embellish the record. The ugly truth from his own liberal mouth will impeach his credibility and the reader will be able to disqualify the man from consideration for high office based solely on his own words and deeds.
Here's an example entry:
FOX News | Feb 6, 2007 | Hanity and Colmes

HANNITY: Let me move on. And the issue of guns has come up a lot. When people talk about Mayor Giuliani, New York City had some of the toughest gun laws in the entire country. Do you support the right of people to carry handguns?
GIULIANI: I understand the Second Amendment. I support it. People have the right to bear arms. When I was mayor of New York, I took over at a very, very difficult time. We were averaging about 2,000 murders a year, 10,000...
HANNITY: You inherited those laws, the gun laws in New York?
GIULIANI: Yes, and I used them. I used them to help bring down homicide. We reduced homicide, I think, by 65-70 percent. And some of it was by taking guns out of the streets of New York City.
So if you're talking about a city like New York, a densely populated area like New York, I think it's appropriate. You might have different laws other places, and maybe a lot of this gets resolved based on different states, different communities making decisions. After all, we do have a federal system of government in which you have the ability to accomplish that.
HANNITY: So you would support the state's rights to choose on specific gun laws?
GIULIANI: Yes, I mean, a place like New York that is densely populated, or maybe a place that is experiencing a serious crime problem, like a few cities are now, kind of coming back, thank goodness not New York, but some other cities, maybe you have one solution there and in another place, more rural, more suburban, other issues, you have a different set of rules.
HANNITY: But generally speaking, do you think it's acceptable if citizens have the right to carry a handgun?
GIULIANI: It's not only -- I mean, it's part of the Constitution. People have the right to bear arms. Then the restrictions of it have to be reasonable and sensible. You can't just remove that right. You've got to regulate, consistent with the Second Amendment.
HANNITY: How do you feel about the Brady bill and assault ban?
GIULIANI: I was in favor of that as part of the crime bill. I was in favor of it because I thought that it was necessary both to get the crime bill passed and also necessary with the 2,000 murders or so that we were looking at, 1,800, 1,900, to 2,000 murders, that I could use that in a tactical way to reduce crime. And I did.

Now, now, shame on you Liz. You know Rooty said Judi is OFF LIMITS - period, end, stop.
Just because her ex husband (#2) said she was and I quote, "a social climber and a drunk" is no reason to bring Judi into this - even though she'd be the 'first lady' (trollop is more apt) and sit in on Cabinet Meetings.
Okay I'm outta here, have to work now.
ps: (Meow back at ya miss V) (snicker)
So you admit that the temperature has risen, but you do not necessarily agree that it is man made. So you agree with Rudy. :)
If Rudy wasn’t buying the man made line then why did he add the part about dealing with pollution anyway? Rudy supports anything that involves the government taking from the citizens.
Well, gawrsh! Thanks!
No, I'm not. Had you not cut off my excerpt of Rudy's quote, you would have seen the problem with his statement.
"I do believe theres global warming, yes. ...The big question has always been how much of it is happening because of natural climate changes and how much of it is happening because of human intervention." The debate on the existence of global warming is "is almost unnecessary...because we should be dealing with pollution anyway."
The debate is VERY MUCH necessary! Global warming is not "pollution" and the actions to regulate pollution are not the same as those for global warming. Global warming regulation is an effort to weaken the United States economy with unnecessary regulation, promoted by the UN and others. And the so-called "market based" approach of curbing global warming by implementation of a cap-and-trade program is nothing more than a global scam that abets those efforts and redistributing wealth in the process.
Please don't base your knowledge on Hugh Hewitt. There are many reputable sources of information available. Here is a good starting point.
Why, to flush out dissenters. Naturally.
(Good post, by the way)
I have been reading the conversation, you started this whole thing by wanting to know what gun laws would be acceptable and what the ramifications would be regarding them. There is one and only gun law, it is the 2ND AMENDMENT, to prohit or restrict is in direct violation of the constitution. You cannot pick and choose what rights are to be allowed based population density.
Third party, Write-in, Stay home and Leave blank are the spoil sports who take the ball and go home.
The Third Party Perot vote gave the Presidency to Clinton in 1992, but Im sure all those who voted for Perot were proud of themselves they were able to get rid of GHW Bush.
Ridding the White House of GHW was a worthy cause. In the case of both parties running a liberal candidate, conservative voters should support the conservative candidate even if they have to write one in.
Sorry, but Rudy does buy into the notion that the bulk of global warming is human-caused. And he's praised Ahnold's "progressive" approach to the problem.
I agree 100%. I see nothing in your quote from Rudy that leads me to believe he thinks otherwise.
...and one who sows discord among brothers.”
Looking at your posts on this thread, it's clear that you are violating one of the seven sins that is listed in the scriptures. Your disrespectful comments to JR are unChristlike, and yet, you tell everyone else here how “ungodly” they are. FR mission statement is listed on the home page, and yet you come here to challenge the very thing this forum stands for. Breaking the rules of this forum isn’t so Christlike—is it? Here’s another scripture for you to ponder...
“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?” Matthew 7:3
Other men in her life have said quite the opposite about her.
You choose to believe the one that feeds your obsession.
I love it. The Rudy boosters and the GOP leadership are being told loud and clear that their guy would split the GOP. It's not like conservatives are demanding someone hard right - support on FR for GOP centrist Fred Thompson is overwhleming.
But if the Rudy boosters insist on pushing their liberal for the nomination and he somehow wins, THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the party split that will ensue. Reagan showed the GOP how to win. The Rudy camp, in their hubris, thinks they can disregard that lesson.
Good point, Condor----maybe Ruti could up his negatives by telling Barbara Walters he'll make Juti US Secy of Global Warming----and that /RutiJuti will command all American's carbon footprints be placed in FBI files.
It was not Hugh commenting. It was a guest on his show who is an expert in the science of weather.
Course, I like your latest, too.
You might be right.
It might be time for the Reoublican party to go to war with itself.
Maybe in the long run it would be a healthy exercise.
Maybe the GOP should ID itself and consider a split into right-center-left?
Maybe.
We see what the far left is doing to the democrats right now.
Do we want to follow their lead - and be guided by the far-right?
Maybe - maybe not.
You might be right.
You’re not LOL-ing as much as usual today. :)
I agree 100%. I see nothing in your quote from Rudy that leads me to believe he thinks otherwise.
Did ya miss the part in bold? He's already rolled over!!!
The debate on the existence of global warming is "is almost unnecessary...because we should be dealing with pollution anyway."
Shucks! It just comes naturally!
