Al Simmons, please pull up your pants, your IQ is showing.I am sure FR will go into mourning if you leave. You sound like a “demorat sleeper freeper”anyway. You should change your name to mushhead. After your last post,it appears you will be leaving any way.Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.Jerk.I could say more but I would not want to get banned.
LOL! Dude that is brilliant!
Kind’a Mel Brooks-ish...
As one lady's tag line reads:
Conservatives want freedom.....Republicans want power...
Plural for opus is opera. Effete elitist art form.
Sign me up, please! ;)
Geez the swift boaters were right and so is Jim. No way I vote for him....he is for illegal amnesty PLUS, every kind of abortion, gun control. As Much as I like Rudy I would vote for Hillary first... she is probably more conservative than Rudy.
Uh, conservative cause ain’t Rudy!
Maybe he’s to close to the forrest to see the trees. I believe most Freepers find the gold in things and throw the crap away. It’s good to look at everything; but we don’t want to be like the dimwits and choose the stuff that matters not at all.
I have two minor litmus tests I apply to politicians. The first is their stance on abortion, and the second is (appropriately enough) their stance on the Second Amendment. Rudi fails on both counts IMHO.
Your claiming he’s conservative is not backed up by the facts apparent to this FReeper. You get hold of a cup of liberal Koolaid by mistake?
“Instead of fighting the enemy FR is now imposing an ‘ideological purity’ test on FR members.”
This started with the illegal immigration issue, probably even before that. Fundamentalism in ideology does no one any favors. There has to be room to debate ideas within the framework of conservatism without being personally attacked.
I love this forum, but lately coming here is depressing.
You nailed it. Since when is Conservatism afraid of the free exchange of ideas?? If your ideas are right they will stand on their own validation.
That is exactly why liberalism has to stop free speech since their ideas will not withstand scrutiny.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Exactly.
I am not a Rudy supporter by any means and think he pretty much sunk his ship at the debate last Thursday by admitting he is pro-choice. I will not vote for a pro-choice candidate under any circumstance, that is a personal choice I make. What I want to know if is there is only one set of beliefs I must adhere to in order to be a conservative and who it is that set up those rules.
It troubles me to see people who are on the same side at each other throats. It’s disconcerting at this forum and evenmoreso in terms of the possible consequences in 2008.
Oh yeah, I got the scars to prove it! I sprained my pinky finger when I wuz typing in Bushbot one time.
“CLOSE THE BORDER NOW!”
Surely won’t happen if Guiliani is elected.
