Good lord. When is this nonsense going to end? How much American blood must be spilled before the situation turns around? I’m starting to wonder if it is worth it. The reality is there is no choice but to stay the course at this point; but damn it hurts.

Now before I get flamed allow me to explain...our enemies know Bush is hamstrung by internal politics and can not react in the way we should....so our goal here it seems is to get it to an even keel.....and force it into the Iraqis lap...and stop coddling them and make them stand up.
This isn’t “nonesense”. It is war. And we who wish to defeat tyrany and preserve western civilization understand that the sacrifice is mandatory.
It’s the ROE that is causing most of the problems. Because of that our troops are sitting ducks for an attack like the described.
Yes it hurts like 'ell. We love these guys like they are our own kin and grieve for the lives lost.
Did you know that nearly 500,000 Americans were killed in WW2? Imagine the magnitude of the grief. Imagine if those Americans had not made the sacrifice. Imagine our children's world if we do not win this. Imagine an oil rich Iraq under the control of AQ/Iran. Imagine the mass slaughter of civilians. The enemy has demonstrated they are a dishonorable enemy - inhuman dishonor which goes deep within them. They must be destroyed.
