Isn't that what we are doing? This isn't going to be over in proper cinematic fashion at the end of 1 hour and 55 minutes, it's going to take time. Either we take the time now, or we fight a war down the road when we are weaker and our allies are gone because they don't trust us to stick it out.

Aside from the obvious, this is in all probability not Iraqi, it's al-Queda. If we "hand it over to the Iraqi's" they'll erase every trace of freedom across the ME in 20 years, and be here in 30.
I’ve been an advocate of a pull-back (not a pull-out) and of letting them a go at it. Once the dust, sand, and hair settles, if they appreciate American forces enough, they’ll beg us back and be eager to help stem this mess.
And have the terrorists control the whole Middle East and use 500 billions dollars of oil revenue to do terrorists attacks against us 100 times more destructive than 9/11 terrorists attacks and to balckmail our economy and the world economy into submission.
