I can't speak to Sam Hill's situation, because I don't know him (however from what I do know he seems very conservative). That said, many of the other folks are indeed seeking martyrdom, aka "victim status". After all, that's what liberals do.

In the time that I’ve been here I never thought of him as anything but conservative. I don’t know what happened to him these last few days. I was so shocked to see what he was doing that I posted to him. That might have been my second post to him in total but, like I said, I always read his comments and this seemed so out of character for him.
