Elyse, Abortion destroys a growing life. I want to see that practice come to an end. I stated a way I would like to see that happen without removing choice entirely from one who is pregnant.
Why would we employ a ‘wrong’, trying to solve a wrong, if we could employ a ‘right’(read: correct) instead?
I would agree with you that abortion is seeking to employ a wrong to solve a wrong.
Listen closely now OK.....That is why I have said that I don’t find any of the choices today acceptable. This is why I seek another alternative. This is why I say that just a simple outright ban on abortion wouldn’t solve everything and only reverses the situation, thus leaving us with the same conflit we have today.
If you read what I wrote when this whole thing got started, you would see that I want an outcome that ends this conflict, not just flips it around the other way.
If life is retained and choice is retained, where is your opposition?
“Listen closely now OK....”
Getting irritated it would seem. Interesting post # as well.
“I would agree with you that abortion is seeking to employ a wrong to solve a wrong.”
Please be more specific with your answers. What wrong is it trying to solve?
I have no opposition to that were it possible and not just your pipe dream. At this point in time, it's not possible. At this point in time babies are dying every hour because our nation allows a woman a choice to kill their baby. At this point in time I think it's much more important to stop that slaughter right now, than to spend time talking about pie in the sky options that don't exist yet. Standing before God right now, I do not have the luxury of indulging in "what if's" when in reality there are only two choices that exist in the abortion debate and if I don't stand firmly pro-life, I am facilitating the murder of innocent human lives.
