I was alive when the pill was invented almost two generations ago and have been shocked at how it affected our society and how it had the opposite of the (predicted ) effect on pregnancy.
Evidently there is more going on between the sexes than science can measure and control.
My prediction that I make when the possibility of an easy, effective, male, birth control method such as a pill hitting the market, is mentioned, is that it will result in a new Victorian style modesty and sexual discipline sweeping the female sex as they fight to regain their sexual power.
I think I remember those same type of predictions from the Mid-1960's about the pill and the eventual ban on abortion. Your assertion flies in the face of our experience.
