In fact, an objective reader could even get the impression that you would oppose laws outlawing abortion since that would entail the government from “interfering.”

Our government exists to protect life.
I don't know if that is true or not, but Jim asked a pro-choice person today to read his mission statement. In typical liberal fashion, he said he read it but could not find anything about abortion. They read the Constitution the same way. If it is there, it ain't. If it is, it isn't.
I think you're reaching here Sam. The State has an interest in protecting innocent human life. If not, tehn just what the heck is the purpose of the State? Dominic seemed to think it was all about lower taxes and smaller government. I would hope you would not agree with that small minded notion.
Where can we find that mission statement? I've been relying on the one from 2004, which I am happy to see is current, and clearly representative of the way this site is being managed. And yes, it does specify that Free Republic is pro-life.
