People forget, or are too young to really remember how unhappy he made people...and how authoritarian he behaved. I knew that from the news stories, and I didn’t even live there.

You didn't live there? You got it from the liberal news stories. LOL!

Rudy kicked ass when he was mayor. I saw it first hand.

(Too bad he's an abortionist and an anti 2A guy.)

Actually the news stories were more or less in favor of what he was doing, but mentioned the unhappiness people felt with being railroaded.

I appreciated him after 9/11. I admired how he shoved the grapefruit in the face of that Saudi Prince. I thought for a few weeks that he might be more moderate on the 2A position for the rest of us in the frontier than he was in the five Boroughs. I was extremely surprised that he could still stand for PBA even after he didn't need to. It is easy to see now that he is more liberal than a "Rockefeller Republican" or even a "Roosevelt Republican."

But what I'm truly shocked to learn on this thread is that "Rudy-mania" appears to be a mental disorder.
