Most of this thread is counter productive.

And it's weird. There's some kind of mob mentality thing going on here.

For the most part I'm observing it and seeing some really nasty things inside people I used to respect.

It may blow over, but if it's a sign of things to come and the phony accusations keep flying like this, it doesn't bode well for the future.

I have poured a martini and am watching this complete meltdown. FR is so far from the brilliant site it was in 1999 when I joined. There used to be dissent, argument, logical & thoughtful debate. I learned a lot in those early years. As the site grew in members, it declined in quality.

The last year has been particularly rancid. I rarely post anymore and find most threads full of whiners & morons. FR is not much fun anymore.

HEP ~ they said it was the Jews fault, they must be made to pay for their blasphemy. The same thing is happening here, a lust call for vengence and an opportunity to act like a beast in part of the herd, guiltless of individual responsibility because you're part of the pack, devouring any who would deviate from the pack. You had to ask, didn't you?

This thread served an excellent purpose. It exposed the liberal supporters and promoters of Rudy Giuliani more then any thread before. Thats a good thing. It gave JimRob the opportunity to place all the RudyBoosters and RudyLoons on notice, ONCE AND FOR ALL. It also shook up ALL you troublemakers and revealed you for the misfits, malcontents and militants you really are.

This thread also gave you --- OhioW(hining)Fan --- and others another opportunity to cry, bitch, moan and groan to your hearts content. Which is what you do most of the time anyway. It gave you a golden opportunity to tell everyone how mistreated and victimized you are around FR. And it gave you a perfect chance to lash out at those you hate, while you talk down this great conservative website. All because you got your feelings hurt.

Bottom line. Everyones on notice.

Time for Free Republic to get back to its roots. Time for Freepers to once again defend the Constitution, advance conservatism and promote conservative candidates. Free Republic doesn't exist to advance liberalism and promote liberal candidates.
