So are you dismissing the article out of hand then, since it was printed in the village voice? Does it make the facts of the story any less true?
And if it’s old - well, rudy was mayor from 94 until 2002 - you’re not going to find newer stories about him being in office, because all his “accomplishments” are from that era.
Funny how you have all your posts railing on about the nanny state, but when people provide you with examples of how rudy constantly sides with big government, from smoking bans to cracking down on dancing or wanting to confiscate cars from people ACQUITTED of drunk driving, you shrug it off. That’s very odd for someone who rails against the nanny state and the overreaching government that comes with it.
well, I am glad that you read the stuff that I wrote. I would hate to think that I was talking to myself. Thank you for listening.
I don’t know what to tell you other than: If you don’t like Rudy don’t vote for him. And try to convince others why they shouldn’t either. What can I say?
See, this is why I would never win an election anywhere. Save the wise ass remarks, I’m smarter than 99% of the state assemblycritters but I suffer from a terrible disease...involuntary honesty.
If some hard up guy asked me a question in a Town Hall forum like “Mr. Blair, my food stamps are running out. If I vote for you, will you guarantee that you’ll do something?”
My answer would be “No. I can’t do a damn thing. Neither can my opponent. But you can. Go get a damn shotgun, kill a deer, skin it, grill it and stop whining.”
That probably won’t win me too many votes.
