Right now it is all in question marks for Republicans. The media has us going for Rudy, but thats really not where the Republican base is. Funny how every single poll done in the last 6 months says exactly the opposite.
Rudy may not be "winning" the FR wingnut caucus, but that really doesn't matter much in the larger contest, does it?

it matters with the small % of voters dedicated enough to vote in the primaries. He has to appeal to them first before he can make the moderates swoon.

Excuse me but who exactly are you refering to as “wingnuts”?
To: cicero's_son
Giuliani's poll numbers are stagnant, he has essentially the same level of support now as he had in the Fall of '06. His level of support at this point in the campaign is closer to where Elizabeth Dole was in 1999 than Bush. The Republican base has not embraced Giuliani, as a matter of fact they haven't embraced anyone which is why things are ripe for a new entrant that can coalesce support.
Just out of curiosity, when you refer to the "wingnut caucus" are you referring to FR's owner and the 92% of members that don't support Giuliani or some other group?

Vote Rudy! Annoy a wingnut. Are you calling Jim a wingnut? Or just those of us with character?

Rudy may not be "winning" the FR wingnut caucus, but that really doesn't matter much in the larger contest, does it? According to the most recent Free Republic sidebar poll, over 90% of FReepers oppose Giuiani. Are those 90% the "FR wingnut caucus" that you are referring to? Does the "FR wingnut caucus" include Jim Robinson, in your opinion? Just want to be sure.
