Prove it. Show us the stats and where you got your information. South Dakota abortion referendum:
No - 56%
Yes - 44%
Who gets abortions?
- Fifty-two percent of U.S. women obtaining abortions are younger than 25: Women aged 2024 obtain 33% of all abortions, and teenagers obtain 19%.
These numbers hardly validate the stupid teenager theory; 81% of these women are past their teen years, and 48% are over age 25! These are grown women, not irresponsible kids who shouldnt be having sex anyway (yes, I hear that a lot).
- Are all of these women godless?
This ones my favorite. I hear so often that Christians and other religious women never abort. After all, a woman who believes in God could never end her pregnancy. The numbers beg to differ: Forty-three percent of women obtaining abortions identify themselves as Protestant, and 27% as Catholic.
Thats right; Christians account for a full 70% of all abortions obtained in the United States.
- Are all of these women pro-choice?
The answer here is a hysterical, choking-on-laughter NO! I absolutely love statements like The pro-choicers [or liberals] will all abort their kids until there arent any more pro-choicers [or liberals] left, because they point out the supreme idiocy of people who try so desperately to demonize their opponents. Ones political affiliation and ones choice when placed in a desperate situation often have very little to do with one another.
Republican women in SoCal are firm on their right to choose. While most abhor the moral aspects, at the end of the day they are going to make a choice based on what's best for them. You may disagree, but the Republican party walks a fine line; opposing Roe v Wade is all fine & good, but look out if actual prohibition was ever attempted.

Well, you’re wrong. I was a California Republican from a young teen until I moved to GA five years ago.
I knew MANY totally pro-life women. Maybe you should figure out how many of those women were encouraged or forced to get abortions by a “Republican” “man”. Your numbers are ridiculous, because men can’t get abortions.

(Better a democrat with an energized opposition than a leftist “Republican” with no opposition.)

It doesn't demonstrate that women are holding the Republican party back from being conservative or that all women are deep down pro-choice.
As far as the majority of women getting abortions being, or rather identifying themselves as, *Chrisitian*, so what? Are we talking the twice a yearers? Those who claim Christianity because they're not muslim or atheist or because they were raised in some church and have nothing else to put down? A woman who was a real Christian wouldn't abort murder her own child.
You don't know and your statistics don't support your contention.

Take your pro-abortion pills elsewhere. God help you.
