I think he might be a statist, but the socialist label is utterly false. I'm not here to defend him or promote him, but when the currency of this forum is to lie about him, I can either ignore it or point it out.
My feeling is that any candidate should be evaluated for exactly who he is. And that means, leave the lies out of it.
