Some of these people DON'T GET IT! They really don't understand who the Founders were and what they stood for. They don't understand what America is all about. America was built on the principles of Judeo-Christian law. Period!

I like to think that the Republic was born of desperation, the vision of men who thought that the current system sucked.

Gives me hope that way.

You can thank the gov't schools for that.

I do not believe that the founders expected us to impose our particular religious view on others. We have the right to worship or not worship according to the dictates of our own consciences. However, the GOP as currently constituted believes that it their duty to impose “Judeo Christian” values (as they interpret them) on everyone. One of the reasons the GOP has been losing elections is exactly that, people view them as doctrinaire and unbending and quite frankly a bunch of busy bodies. We can’t do the real work of gov’t like balancing the budget, reforming taxes, fixing Soc Sec, or fighting a war but the GOP has time to pander for fundamentalist votes. Sorry my view and I’m entitled
