I wish they were harsher and more ferocious.

Beating the moderate middle voters into submission is not the way to build the party. It is going to take education.

From my post #3180 on this thread:

"We need to educate at least half of the population to understand why liberal ideas are wrong, and don't work. We need to educate at least half of the population to understand that personal responsibility, strong national defense, and strong family moral values are the correct way for people to live. It is hard to change minds by screaming, it takes reasoned discussion.

Nominating someone from the far left of the GOP, who is more in line with the Dems than the GOP on many key issues such as abortion, gun rights and the gay agenda, is not conducive towards such education.

Oh bullcrap. The left, the far left, took a stand and led the party and what did it get them? They won. Capitulating and compromising your values has no business being a part of the message anymore.
