Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
The above is the title to this thread. A simple question with a simple answer. The answer is quite clearly NO. In post 16753 from last night, I mentioned which is when I plan to introduce a few ideas as moving forward points. In meeting my commitment, Ill offer the following ideas:
(1) Jim Robinson and many others here have already invested a great deal of time and effort to seeing FreeRepublic loudly saying NO to Rudy Giuliani as a Republican Primary Winner. Im not looking to re-invent any wheels with this idea, rather attempt to show how we can further build on these efforts and keep pushing.
I propose that all who have the time to keep building upon the information already being catalogued at the below thread. Yes, this idea is simply to recognize that the wheel is already invented, so theres no need for us to find a miracle pill (figuratively).

The Rudy Giuliani Truth File in his own words and deeds - quotes, speeches, transcripts, clips, reports
(2) Alternate Candidate Review Thread Civil and productive discussion of alternate candidate platforms.
(3) Separate Entity for Strategic Effort Please frmail jedward if you are interested in committing time and effort to see Rudy defeated in the Republican Primaries. Discussions have already been on-going but have not been and will not be posted to this thread. The launch of an official campaign effort would be announced here at FR as News with the respective links to any Press Releases and pertinent information. This team does not need heroes or saviors, simply those who have the time and talents necessary to implement a formal campaign.
(4) Lock this thread for the time being, then unlock in order to celebrate the victory and accomplishment of FreeRepublic members and dedication to preserving conservative values and principles (a.k.a. Bye Bye Rudy). I see no shame in anything Ive said on this thread. I have researched some on whats being said out there. People are hoping and praying that this thread simply disappears. Id like to see peoples emotions funneled into productive thoughts and actions, so by locking the thread, we are all forced to get busy with the work we have ahead of us.
I am fully committed to do everything I can, and realizing everyones circumstances are different, I hope that everyone is also committed to doing whatever they can, regardless the size and with no expectation of recognition. For any who were hoping to see timelines and detailed strategy information, my apologies, but usually its best not to show your opponent your hand.

Ping To Post!
When I was a newbie, I would never have taken it upon myself to suggest how this website should best be run. You’re really something! LOL :)
Sounds nice to me...I like the way you think...especially 1-3...If I were going to do a drive to get’er done, I would probably try something along those lines...Candidate review thread was something I was thinking about today myself...
You thought all that up in one night? Boy Howdy!
Thanks for posting this. Here’s my response...
1) I’ve been on that thread and posted some material. I agree and encourage other freepers to help with this effort.
In particular notice posts #263 and 266:

WTH!!!?
I just went to the link that I provided you, one that I’d visited before because I’m the one who posted it here originally (months back) and I watched the beginning of it to get the times that I just posted (1:20 and 1:48). But now the video is GONE from YouTube. Down the memory hole.
Now, I wonder why that would have happened....

Guess were gonna have to start downloading and saving copies of that stuff on secure servers. No doubt Rudys people will be trying to destroy the evidence.

2) Sounds good to me
3) Separate Entity for Strategic Effort. I will be dedicating my time and resources to the Duncan Hunter campaign and Free Republic. I would cooperate with such a venture but I’d need to limit my involvement due to family commitments. I’m already on the StopRudy ping list run by Napkin User, so please make sure the ping list gets updated with any activities we could help out with.
4) Yes, lock the thread. It appears to be heading back into ugliness again and all that reconciliation we generated might get lost in the noise.
Ping to post.
Bump Dat...
In case you missed your ping and the post, I was interested in your thoughts on this...
1) Sure. But, we already have mountains of material with this guy, more than enough to convince any reasonable Republican that he’s a stonecold Leftist. The real trick is making sure the Republican electorate receives the truth about him, 5x5.
2) Use Google. Anyone who is willing to look objectively, and very closely, at any one of these candidates has the ability right at their fingertips.
3) It depends.
4) No reason to lock it, IMO.
