IMO, there is no need to lock the thread. There has been some high-level and very important dialogue taking place, stuff that makes all the battles worth it. (Notwithstanding those few who can’t let things go and move forward.) Just my opinion.

Even though it continues to be a fount of intellectual entertainment, I'd tend to agree.
