To: Miss Marple

I learned as a child that if I had offended someone the proper thing to do was to sincerely apologize. Whether I thought they should have felt offended had nothing to do with it. That lesson is also a good one for anyone who is married. I have often apologized to my husband even when I didn’t think he should have been offended by something I said. The high road is closer to God. ;)

This comment reminded me of something I read once, and which I immediately took to heart: When there are people at odds who shouldn't be, the responsibility of healing the void lies with the one who has the greater vision.
