While you are using hyperbole to make your point, which you pretty much admitted prior to making it, I believe your example to be an apt one.

The lesser of two evils is still evil. And nowhere in my Bible do I find any excuse for supporting evil in any way, shape or form.

Stand for what's right, and leave the consequences to God. That's my philosophy, and I think it jives with the founders'.

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

I had a liberal tell me that a few times. She refused to vote for the "lesser of two evils". I must admit that made me VERY happy since President Bush ended up in office and it was one less liberal voting for Kerry. In her own way, my liberal friend helped our cause.

I found a speech online that was given by a liberal professor. Yea, BARF. LOL He made a good point though, albeit from a liberal perspective. If we could change his words to the "right" (conservative Republicans) and replace his agenda with our conservative ones, the main point regarding the topic of "lesser of the two evils" is a good one.

You are always an agent. When you don't act, you act. When you don't vote, you vote. When you accept the loony logic of some of the left that there is no political value in supporting the lesser of two evils, you open the door to the greater evil. That's what happens when you despair, you open the door to evil, and evil is always happy to enter, sit down, abolish the Clean Air Act and the Kyoto accords and refuse to participate in the World Court or the ban on landmines; evil is happy refusing funds to American clinics overseas that counsel abortion, and evil is happy drilling for oil in Alaska; evil is happy pinching pennies while 40 million people worldwide suffer and perish from AIDS; and evil will sit there, carefully chewing pretzels and fondly flipping through the scrapbook reminiscing about the 152 people he executed when he was governor, while his wife reads Dostoyevsky in the corner. Evil has a brother in Florida and a whole bunch of relatives; evil settles in, and it's the devil of a time getting him to vacate. Look at the White House. Look at France, look at Italy, Austria, the Netherlands. Look at Israel. See what despair and inaction on the part of citizens produces. Act! Organize. It's boring but do it. The world ends if you don't.

That is exactly the approach that conservatives should take in regards to the choices they make regarding our elected officials and those who would seek to lead us.

If something is evil, it is evil. There is no distinction between (for example) those who physically shoved Jews into the gas ovens, and those who managed the death camps. No difference between the Nazi thug who clubbed an innocent Jew to death on the street, and the well mannered Dr. Megele' who conducted medical experiments on Jews before they were murdered. The net result is the same. Evil is evil.

In the upcoming primaries and general election, Americans will have a choice, they can either condone the infanticidal views of the likes of Rudy Giuliani and/or Hillary Clinton, or they can emulate Nancy Reagan and "just say NO" to such pro-abortionist candidates. As already pointed out, if such a candidate ends up being elected anyway, that is the fault of the political organization that promoted them, not the voters who retain a conscience, who still embrace human decency and morality.

It may well turn out to be America's fate that a liberal, gun-grabbing abortionist will win the Presidency in 2008, but if that happens, it will not be the fault of conservatives who refuse to 'go along to get along', it will be because one or both major Parties sold out their voters, and sold out America by trying to foist such amoral individuals upon our society.
