You made the point that he was pro-abortion when he was Governor of CA. OK. When he ran for president, he was pro-life.
So is your point that if Reagan was once wrong on something then it is OK that Giuliani is wrong on it now? Or is your point that Giuliani is pro-life now?
But none of us voted for Reagan when he was running for governor. Some weren’t alive then.
I voted for reagan in 1981, and he was quite the conservative. And he was able to convince a lot of independents and democrats that his philosophy, a conservative one, was best for the country.
And convinced, they came out and voted for him in droves.
I like that approach much better than the approach of rudy supproters, to find out all the stupid things the “average voter” believes, and pick a candidate that will best cater to their ignorance and stupidity.
I’d like a President who, when he speaks on an issue, says something I agree with, or at least something that does not turn my stomach.
