We got Bush as the nominee in 2000 because he was the "anointed one." He was selected by the PTB (whoever the hell they are) and proclaimed “frontrunner” and de facto nominee by the media and all pundits before anyone else could even get out of the starting gates. He was ramrodded through over the objections from the grassroots. Kind similar to what’s going on now, but it’s even starting earlier.

Who should have rightly been the nominee in 2000?

This notion that nominees are forced on anyone is tinfoil. Same tinfoil that's going on now regarding Giuliani. If you don't want Giuliani, field a candidate who can garner more votes.

Jim,
I hope most folks remember this:
“We got Bush as the nominee in 2000 because he was the “anointed one.” He was selected by the PTB (whoever the hell they are) and proclaimed frontrunner and de facto nominee by the media and all pundits before anyone else could even get out of the starting gates. I know some will argue with you, but that is what happened. I hope it doesn’t happen again.

Kind similar to whats going on now, but its even starting earlier. This is true, but the only challengers were MCCain and Buchanan. The basic problem of being anti rudy and anti mccain now is who is the challenger ?

And that makes me think there are too many liberals among the PTB. Way too cozy. IMO, it's the almighty $ (or whatever symbol the globalists will ultimately choose to represent their income from the peons).

That’s been my assessment, too. Glad I’m not the only one who saw things/sees things that way.

I am so glad to see this posted by you....i haven’t forgotten how he was annointed...it seems like many on FR either aren’t aware of it or choose to ignore it.
