And the "fundraising" is actually some FReepers pledging money, Jim did not ask for it, and the thread had nearly 10,000 posts before that even started.
I think the most obnoxious of the Rudy boosters are gone - the folks who weren't just content to push Rudy, but who also sought to attack many conservative values such as pro-life and pro-gun - such as questioning Fred's pro-life bona fides even though they didn't give a fig that Rudy is pro-abort and belittled pro-life values.
But we shouldn't try to make this a completely Rudy-free site, IMO. Like it or not, the guy is a contenter for the GOP nomination, and it helps us Rudy critics sharpen our game to have some pro-Rudy threads posted, as long as they are content to not try and use FR as a means to bash conservatism and conservative candidates.
DG, in turn, you gotta realize that folks like EV and Spiff had been stalked and harassed by many of those who have been banned. So they are justified in enjoying the turn of events here where those folks are getting their comeuppance.

When you have people like Hildy threatening to hurt Jim Robinson’s lifestyle in the pocketbook, certainly some of us that support the conservative mission of this website will stand up and take up any slack? You have a problem with that? OR do you endorse this behavior?
