>>I thought of the hairdryer, but was afraid to do it. -------------
I used to repair computers for a living and some of the keyboards people used to bring me were a stick, yukky mess. ----------
The easiest way I found to clean them was to put them in the sink and house them down and scrub them with a brush and dish soap and then rinse.<<
Keyboards used to cost more. Now for $4 you get a new one.

Yes. But cleaning them saves you having to order and wait for the mailman or paying $5 in gas to go get your $4 keyboard.

You missed a great joke:
How do you clean a keyboard?
- unplug from computer
- put in the sink, hose down,
- scrub with a brush and dish soap
- rinse.
- Put in trash
- Buy new one for $4 at Microcenter
