This is too bad, watch airshows will be banned in SC like they did here in central NH when they had an air show accident years ago...sad, i miss the annual airshows.
There used to be an excellent Veterans Day weekend event down in Columbia, SC, the Celebrate Freedom Festival. Three years ago one of the pilots there, a guy from Santee named Bob Tobul, had the engine fail on his restored Korean War-era F4U Corsair and wound up crashing into a neighborhood when he tried to get it back to the downtown airport. The next year, they moved the Festival 15 miles east, out into a much more rural area near Camden (Kershaw County).
