To: Pukin Dog

Do you fly this type of aircraft? Pilots have told me that unless all control surfaces are “out”, some ability to control exists.

I did not fly the Hornet.

However, the Hornet is a FBW aircraft, and when it loses computer control, it reverts to a pitch and rudder authority condition.

We will know very soon what happened, but at tree level, there would have been no time at all to effect any kind of controlled maneuver. Had Davis had a chance to get out, he would have done so.
