Breaking on CNN a few minutes ago.
1 plane down in neighborhood, status of pilot or occupants unknown at this time.
Yep.
Why even respond to these armchair “pilots”, If they haven’t got the brains to know where you are coming from let them make idiots out of themselves.

I’m on site at Sun’n Fun.
I have people on site at Beaufort and we are in touch by telephone.
Actually it’s Pukin dog’s post 174. Sorry
Mechanical linkages, with balanced airframes that could actually glide unpowered. That all ended with the F-4.
The A-10 is actually a relic of that day and age, and comes with so many redundancies in the control surfaces that you can actually bring back a very wounded bird.
I am talking specifically about the training that pilots receive who are flying high-performance jets. There was a case over Iraq during the first Gulf War, where a Tomcat on a TARPS mission had one of its stabs blown off by a SAM. That plane came back, even landed on the boat. Two tails gone, that plane is NOT coming back.
I am talking about conditions where an ejection is imminent, and in such cases, there are simply no considerations about anything on the ground. None, dude.

So, can it. Your post is just stupid.
High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I’ve topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God
God Speed Blue Angel
are you a pilot?

You would think that MR "Aviation Reporter" could take one look at my handle and think I might know a thing or two about this stuff?
But, you are right, and I should have just let it go.
I wish all of you would knock it off or go to FM. Who cares right now? Can’t we at least wait for confirmation that it’s him before you and the “babe” duke it out about him being a hero or not?

LOL!!!
Thanks — first laugh in two hours.
I needed that.
The libs at HuffPo are having an orgasm over this and are using to this accident as another excuse to launch into an anti-military tirade.
Prayers for the victim. May he rest in peace.
